About Us
Blessed Women Ministry is a newly formed and registered non-profit organization whose purpose is to help a variety of populations in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is a country in Southern Africa and has a population of about 14,000,000. At its prime, HIV/AIDS ravished our people including many families where both parents succumbed to the disease. As a result, many children were instantly orphaned. If they were fortunate, they had grandparents who took them in. Now COVID-19 is ravaging the world over. We see a greater need for our commitment to serve these groups of orphans, many of whom are unfed and unclothed. Moreover, because of the poverty, many young girls become victims of sexual abuse. Most grandparents did not and still do not have the resources to care for these orphans. Blessed Women Ministry also supports elderly women, who, without outside help, would be forced to go into infirmaries. Some may just need enough money to attend an annual women’s conference and are not able to raise the funds to attend. According to Luke 12: 48b (NIV)… From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. This ministry is inspired by this charge to all Christians as the founder feels she has been blessed. She now wants to bless others. Why serve orphans and widows specifically? James 1:27 (NIV) says Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress …. Our Mission is to provide holistic education, spiritual, emotional and other support including food and clothing to young orphaned or single parent families with children are unable to support themselves. We do so by paying for tuition and school fees for young people from grade 0 through college. Fees include, but are not limited to school supplies, laptops, uniforms, room, and board. Blessed Women Ministry also supports and empowers widows by encouraging independence and autonomy by their harnessing their God-given talents to support themselves through various projects that yield livable incomes. Some may be simply looking for funds so they can travel to a women’s conference and pay for their food. A few dollars in their pocket fuels their souls for months until the next conference. At this time, the organization is run by volunteers. As we grow, we will have some paid staff to manage some administrative functions. Currently, our organization serves 14 school children and 30 widows. This does not even scratch the surface of the need. As we grow, we hope to support more students and widows in this program. Our goal is to build and fund an orphanage where children can be housed until they are of school age and then be integrated into educational institutions. We hope that graduates of our programs will feel the need to give back and support these programs from which they benefitted.

Mission:
To provide holistic education, spiritual, emotional, and other support to young orphaned or single parent boys and girls who are unable to support themselves. We do so by paying for tuition and school fees for young people from grade 0 through college. Fees include, but are not limited to school supplies, laptops, uniforms, room, and board.
Blessed Women Ministry also supports widows by encouraging independence and autonomy and harnessing their God-given talents to support themselves through various projects that yield livable income.
Vision:
Due to the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS and at times malaria in Zimbabwe, many children have been left without parents. Some women who depended on their husbands for their livelihood have been left to fend for themselves after their husbands died. Blessed Women Ministry seeks to empower these women and to improve the quality of life of these communities by sharing its blessings, finances and other resources. The youth in these communities receive academic and religious education to enhance their growth and development in all aspects of life and grow up to be productive adults. Widows will gain skills with which to support themselves and their dependents.
